Un lunedì da PIN! - Idee DIY low cost per il Natale

Oggi manca proprio solo un mese... quante volte lo sentiremo ripetere nell'arco della giornata? A me piace fare shopping natalizio e respirare l'atmosfera di festa nei mercatini ma anche in città, facendosi pizzicare dal freddo e guardando le persone che sorridono immerse nei cappotti.
Ma mi piace anche girare per casa alla ricerca di materiali del nostro quotidiano per trasformarli in piccoli decori.

Today, only just missing a month ... how many times I hear repeat throughout the day? I like to do Christmas shopping and soak up the festive atmosphere in the markets but also in the city, making pinch from the cold and looking at the people who smile immersed in their coats.
But I also like to turn the house looking for materials of our everyday life and turn them into small decorations.

Un venerdì di fine novembre

Così come è arrivato, anche novembre sta volgendo al termine e questo significa una sola cosa: Holidays are coming!
E' arrivato anche il freddo, i meteorologi dicono che "le temperature si allineano alle medie stagionali" e la neve ha cominciato a spruzzare i paesi più alti nei miei dintorni.
La vita procede a scatti come il mio umore, l'idraulico è a casa distrutto da una forma influenzale davvero potente e ho voglia di biscottini allo zenzero e bretzel. Ma in questi giorni solo brodo caldo e riso in bianco a casa mia!
Intanto, una serie di idee mi spuntano in testa come funghi... le fermo dove riesco e a volte le perdo per strada per poi ritrovarle magari nella tasca dei jeans che avevo mentre ero in posta o in banca. Nella craft room c'è molto work in progress...

November is coming to an end and that means only one thing: Holidays are coming!
Even cold weather is arrived, forecasters say that "the temperatures are in line with seasonal averages" and the snow began to white the highest villages in my surroundings.
Life is jerky as my mood is, the plumber is at home destroyed by a really powerful flu and I feel like ginger cookies and pretzels. But now you could only find hot broth and white rice in my home!
In the meanwhile, a number of ideas are popping up in my head like mushrooms ... I stop them where I can and sometimes I lose them and then maybe find them in the pocket of jeans that I had while I was at the post office or bank. In the craft room there is a lot work in progress.

DIY Christmas decor or gift idea - Stella pirografata

Gli ingredienti principali per questa decorazione DIY (fai da te) per Natale sono: legno (mi piace), color rame (mi piace), pirografo Dremel Versatip (mi piace). Poche altre cose e lo spirito natalizio è già tra noi!

Cosa c'è di più bello della sensazione del legno naturale sotto le mani e del profumo che emana? Quest'anno per Natale ho voglia di essenze e materiali tutti naturali, perciò ho pensato ad una decorazione per la casa, per l'albero, per la porta o da appendere dove più vi piace molto attuale e dal sapore scandinavo, essenziale ed elegante.
Ho utilizzato per la prima volta un pirografo, dopo il primo momento di sgomento e dopo aver vagliato sospette puzze di bruciato ci ho preso un gran gusto e adesso ne sono innamorata! La tecnica però è ancora orrenda perciò... abbiate pietà di me!

Occorrente:

• stella di legno
• pirografo (Dremel Versatip versione natalizia - potete leggere di cosa si tratta su Kreattiva!)
• matita
• acrilico color rame
• filo di rame (il mio è recuperato da vecchi cavi elettrici)
• acrilico bianco (facoltativo)

Procedimento:

• praticate un forellino su una delle punte della stella che vi servirà poi per appenderla (io ho usato un piccolo occhiello, sufficiente dato lo spessore sottile della mia stella)
• se necessario, passate la carta vetrata per toglieee piccole schegge
• dipingete con acrilico bianco i lati della stella (io ne ho fatto uno bianco e uno lasciato naturale)
• con la matita segnate le vostre scritte su entrambi i lati della stella
• ripassate le scritte con il pirografo 
• rifinite la stella passando due o più mani di acrilico rame sui bordi
• fate passare il filo di rame nel buco della stella avvolgendolo più volte

Ecco fatto, da appendere dove più vi piace oppure da regalare!

The main ingredients for this DIY Christmas decoration are : wood (I like), copper (I like), Dremel Versatip pyrograph (I like). A few other things and the Christmas spirit is already among us!


What could be more beautiful than the natural feel of wood under the hands and the smell that emanates? This year for Christmas I want all natural essences and materials, so I thought of a decoration for the home , for the tree, to the door or to hang wherever you like very actual and Scandinavian , simple and elegant.
I have used for the first time a pyrography, after the first moment of dismay and after examining suspicious smells of burning I fell in love with it! The technique, however, is still awful so ... have pity on me!

You will need:

• wooden star
• pyrography ( Dremel Versatip Xmas version - you can read about it on Kreattiva )
• pencil
• copper-colored acrylic
• copper wire (mine is recovered from old electric cables)
• white acrylic ( optional)

Procedure:

• drill a small hole on one of the points of the star that will serve you then to hang it (I used a small loop , simply because of the thickness of the thin my star )
• If necessary, pass the sandpaper to remove small splinters
• paint with white acrylic the two sides of the star (I have done one white and one left natural )
• marked with your pencil written on both sides of the star
• rehearse the writing with pyrography
• finished the star passing two or more coats of acrylic copper on the edges
• thread the copper wire into the hole of the star wrapping it several times

Done! Now you can hang it wherever you want or gift it!

Novità collaborazioni: Dremel

Poco tempo fa ho ricevuto una mail da parte di Dremel (Bosch) che conoscevo già bene. Dremel a casa mia, dove vive un idraulico appassionato di bricolage, è sinonimo di "oggetto del desiderio"!

Dopo uno scambio di mail, impressioni ed anche di telefonate, ho scoperto persone che apprezzano e valorizzano il mondo dei blog e la passione delle blogger creative. Lo potete appurare anche voi visitando la pagina facebook "I Like Dremel" ed il progetto #natalefaidame  in cui Dremel ha coinvolto ben 8 bravissime blogger che ammiro!
Il rispetto di Dremel per il lavoro, l'opinione e la professionalità delle blogger, la piena libertà di espressione ed opinione mi hanno assolutamente conquistata!

Un lunedì da PIN - Cute winter

Lo scorso fine settimana è iniziato il freddo qui da me. Quel freddo umido che mi fa congelare mani e piedi in ufficio e mi costringe a portare tutto inverno le scarpone imbottite che neanche l'abominevole uomo delle nevi... con la differenza che poi esco e vado a fare spesa al centro commerciale dove le temperature sono normali e la gente normale ha scarpe normali e lì mi sento i piedi immersi nella lava vulcanica.
Ok, questo periodo di transizione passerà e intanto comincio a godermi qualche immagine festiva. Ci vuole relax!

Last weekend started the cold here by me. That makes me freeze cold wet hands and feet in the office and forces me to carry all padded winter boot that even the Abominable Snowman ... The difference is that when I finish working and go shopping at the mall, the temperatures are normal, and normal people have normal shoes and I feel my feet immersed in volcanic lava.
Ok, this period will be over soon and in the meantime I want to enjoy some festive image. Let's relax!

Autunno sulle scale - Fall is welcome

Lo ammetto, è un grosso problema, mi piacciono le cose! Cerco di tenere sotto controllo la mia voglia di esporre tutto, ripongo gli oggetti in alcune grosse scatole e ogni tanto sostituisco quelli esposti con quelli messi via, a rotazione. Comunque, il risultato è che ho sempre tante cose. Minimalismo non è proprio nelle mie corde.
Un posto perfetto per queste rotazioni è il lungo davanzale della finestra in vetrocemento che abbiamo sulle scale. In questo periodo ha un accento autunnale in attesa di trasformarsi in un magico mondo nel periodo di Natale.

I have to admit it, it's a big deal, I like things! I try to control my desire to show everything, I put the objects in some large boxes and some times I replace those exposed to those put forth in rotation. However, the result is that I always have so many things. Minimalism is not really my thing.
A perfect place for these rotations is along the sill of the glass blocks window that we have on the stairs. In this period it has a fall accent waiting to be transformed into a magical world in the run up to Christmas.
