The Art of Nature - Insects and Heart by Vivereapiedinudi

Finally I resurface from a race against time to be able to show a part of my job .
It took me so much ... it was born here and develop it looked easy but it was not. I wanted these things would reflect who I am, my love for nature, biology and the way I see them.
If you're with me for a bit ' of time you know that I love insects. I love them because I think they are small perfect gems so efficient designed by the greatest artist in the world, Nature.
I wish everyone in watching an insect could admire the perfection of the structure, form , function, and instead of saying " yuck " everyone could arrive to exclaim " what a treat! "

Similarly I see perfection in human anatomical machine. Our bodies and the mechanisms that govern its operation are wonderful and for me the cells, tissues and organs are pure mysterious art.

From pieces of wood recovered from construction site boards or old workings were born these objects "The Art of Nature" that speak about me. The images are retrieved from ancient books of entomology, comparative anatomy and human anatomy from the second half of 1800 (all of the books used are declared to be of public domain, not subjected to copyright) except for the images of small insects that are drawn from my hands.

Why "Perfection is in small things?"
Because I think it's pointless chasing the perfect life. Life is made of light and dark, but we can find perfection in so many small moments, a smile of someone we love, the light that shines in a certain way, a gift, a dish cooked well, a little satisfaction ...
it is here that we find perfection in small things.

Non è tutto qui ovviamente. Troverete questi oggetti (e molto altro) assieme a me al Festival dell'Handmade.

The other day I read this wonderful and poetic post of my dear friend Antonella "Blog a Cavolo"" and, as always when I read her posts, I smiled for her energy, her character and to the great truth hidden in his words : creating is a therapy.
Antonella and I we both know and have always supported this. I'm talking about those times difficult, complicated, in which the events or thoughts cling and drag us through the mud, when we are not comfortable with ourselves, when we are troubled or when we feel overwhelmed by life's worries ...
Here, then, someone with a hammer and nails like Antonella, someone with colors, paper, glue like me, someone with eggs, flour and sugar... we will enter our world and find the solution.

Antonella, with her energy and enthusiasm, hammers , nails , smoothes over night and it may happen that a sad pallet revenues pure poetry .
I, however , more sober and reflective , with glue, paper and brushes upcycling and transforming objects ... this is my therapy.

Does the same thing happens to you?

Never say junk! #2 - Anatomical tray

We have reached a new episode of "Never Say junk!" (the others can be found here).
After many pizzas baked in, one of my pans was really ruined, and when the non-stick layer is worn out it becomes dangerous to your health.
Do not worry! I dusted the technique of image transfer (you will found it here) and experienced the stencil done with screws and behold a beautiful tray so that suits me. It brings me back to the day when I gave the examination of human anatomy at the university, one of those memorable days imprinted on fire in my memories. In the bottom of the post you will find a story of that day but first enjoy the "Heart tray" and I recommend it ... never say junk!

It 's the day of the examination of human anatomy for Lallabel. Matter beloved, professor famous throughout the University as one of the most severe. Lallabel studied a lot but feels a rag that objectively knows everything, but at that moment does not seem to remember anything, as often happens. The only weak point on which Lallabel has some uncertainty despite the many insights is the lung.
Lallabel sits in front of the dreaded professor and, while trying not to lose consciousness in the mind repeats a single mantra: "please, do not ask me the lung, please, do not ask me the lung..." "Young lady, tell me about lung" ... done.
The examination, however, went well, so well that then when I walked to the faculty felt whispers "That's the girl who took 30 and praise to human anatomy"!
